Our Story
At Tula, we bridge the gap between ancient practices and modern wellness. Rediscovering the transformative power of Mudgar and Mei Padam, unlocking a journey to physical strength and mental clarity
Hello and welcome to Tula Movement! I'm Shashi Dongur, the enthusiast behind this venture. My fitness journey has zigzagged from the thrill of trekking and marathons to embracing the laid-back life of a couch connoisseur. Along this path, I've battled knee aches and mobility challenges. But then, I discovered the game-changers: Mudgar (also known as Karla Kattai) and Mei Padam.
Mudgar, the traditional Indian club, isn't just a piece of fitness equipment; it's a symbol of our heritage from Southern India. These clubs, deceptively simple in appearance, worked wonders on my joints and overall body strength. The fluid, rhythmic movements of swinging the Mudgar not only enhanced my physical stamina but also brought a unique sense of mental focus and balance.
Mei Padam, on the other hand, is like a dance of strength and flexibility. This practice, rooted in ancient traditions, is more than just physical exercise. It's a holistic approach to body and mind wellness, enhancing flexibility, balance, and providing a profound sense of inner peace and mental clarity. For me, Mei Padam was the key to unlocking levels of agility and mental focus I never knew I had.
At Tula, we're passionate about sharing the transformative power of Mudgar and Mei Padam with the world. Whether you're an avid fitness enthusiast or just starting to rethink your relationship with your couch, we believe these practices can offer you a unique path to wellness. Our aim is to guide you towards improved physical strength, enhanced flexibility, and sharper mental clarity, all while having fun and embracing a healthier lifestyle.
